The Pathway of Reiki

Life is full of mystery and beauty, we are alive because life force energy, sometimes known as chi or ki, is flowing through our bodies on pathways called meridians or chakras. The human body is magnificently designed and has a bio-energy-circulation system similar to the blood-circulation system. The bio-energy flows along 12 main meridians, or channels. These are symmetrical on each side of the body, each pair being related to a specific organ. As well, Life Force Energy flows around us in a field of energy called the aura.

Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body, creating an imbalance which can be identified physically and emotionally.

Equally, life force energy is responsive to thoughts and feelings and can become blocked when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts and feelings about ourselves, causing diminished vitality in our physical body and spiritual well being.

Reiki, the Japanese concept for universal life force energy heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. Thus, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, allowing clear passage for the flow of life force energy.

What to expect during a treatment ~ Reiki is a gentle hands on practice, it creates a shift in the flow of energy producing a deep sense of calm and peacefulness, it quiets the nervous system and increases vital life force to flow evenly throughout the body. It never harms and always has the highest intention for the good of the client.

A Master Reiki Practitioner, trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system and a member of the International Association of Reiki Practitioners, Catherine diligently upholds the principles and precepts that Reiki is founded upon.

During treatment sessions, the energetic work of Reiki and Catherine's gift of intuition and discernment are employed to guide and assist clients to achieve a more balanced joyful life.
